About Us

Located in the vibrant Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago, Norwood Crossing has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults for over a century. Managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance, our culture is rooted in respect, hospitality, and clinical excellence.

Our Home Care division allows seniors to maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their home setting, backed by a supportive team that treats every resident like family.

The Role

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and heart-led Caregivers (CNAs / HHAs / Personal Care Aides) for both Live-In positions and Come & Go (Hourly) shifts.

In this role, you will provide personalized, one-on-one non-medical care and companionship to seniors. Whether you prefer the steady schedule of hourly shifts or the dedicated focus of live-in care, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients live safely, comfortably, and joyfully every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and mobility support.

  • Companionship & Engagement: Build warm, meaningful relationships through conversation, light activities, reading, and emotional support.

  • Meal Preparation & Dining: Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals and snacks tailored to client preferences and dietary guidelines; assist with feeding if needed.

  • Light Housekeeping & Errands: Keep client living areas clean, tidy, and safe (laundry, dishwashing, dusting, trash removal); assist with light errands or appointments as requested.

  • Safety & Observation: Monitor client safety, track daily care tasks, and promptly report any physical, cognitive, or emotional changes to the Home Care Supervisor.

Shift Options
  • Come & Go (Hourly Caregivers): Flexible morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts tailored to your availability.

  • Live-In Caregivers: Reside in the client’s home during assigned shift days (typically 2–4 day shifts per week). Private sleeping quarters and meals provided during shifts.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide in a home care, assisted living, or senior care setting.

  • Credentials: Valid Illinois CNA certification or Home Health Aide training is a plus, but not required for non-medical personal care.

  • Certifications: Current CPR / First Aid certification preferred.

  • Skillset: Deep empathy, strong reliability, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with seniors.

  • Requirements: Must pass a standard background check and drug screen.

What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly rates and daily live-in rates.

  • Immediate Pay Access: Get paid before payday using the RAIN Earned Wage Access app!

  • Flexible Scheduling: Choose between hourly shifts or live-in rotations that fit your lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance packages (for eligible full-time staff).

  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO and paid holiday packages.

  • Retirement: 401(k) options to invest in your future.

  • Supportive Team: The backing of an experienced home care leadership team at Oakdale Seniors Alliance that respects and values direct care workers.
