Job description

Must be a current Nebraska law enforcement official Willing to travel and conduct inspections throughout the NE southcentral region. Part-time, Contract Computer Evidence Specialists is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer's compliance with federal regulations. Inspectors are required to be current Nebraska law enforcement officials. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual's schedule. An ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a flexible schedule. Duties/Responsibilities: โ€ข Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify provided site address โ€ข Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers โ€ข Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products โ€ข Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable โ€ข Review retailers for compliance of advertising & labeling signage Required qualifications/skills: โ€ข Must be a current Nebraska law enforcement official with a valid Peace Officer's license โ€ข Reliable transportation โ€ข All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session โ€ข Attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines and privacy โ€ข Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). โ€ข Learn more about this program by visiting: http://www.fda.gov/TobaccoProducts Additional Key Details: โ€ข Work Location: On the road โ€ข Job Types: Part-time, Contract โ€ข Pay: $25.50-$30.43 per hour.
