TheSystems Test Engineerwill be working within a portion of the R&D department known as the Meter Farm team. This team focuses on RF mesh network stability and performance testing by using the full system solution (hardware, firmware, RF and Cellular Network communication, and Software) for the electric, water, and gas meters in a single cell at scale. The team runs testing year round on 24,000 endpoints all located onsite (outdoors) in West Union, SC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of test plans, test designs, test objectives, and test cases.
  • Identify, analyze and document defects, questionable behavior, errors and inconsistencies with the AMI solution
  • Work with development engineers in product design, code reviews, walkthroughs and product lifecycle inspections.
  • Investigate problems of the test environment and bring to resolution.
  • Respond to inquiries from development or other internal groups about the behavior of the AMI solution
  • Execute tests on the large scale network test environments and report test results with analysis.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Systems Test Engineer, or related experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • IPv6 knowledge and experience
  • Networking knowledge and experience (VPN)
  • SQL and Oracle database knowledge and experience
  • Experience with C/C# and Linux
  • Experience with Azure DevOps

Physical Demands:This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment. Will need to be comfortable working outdoors (meter farm) on occasion in all types of weather. This is a safety sensitive role
