Essential Functions:
  • Provide a variety of lectures, workshops and classes for Miraval guests relating to Animal Connection, Agriculture, Nature Connections, wellness/meditations, or any other specialized programming relating to our Cypress Creek Farm.
  • Provide one-on-one guest consultations on lifestyle issues
  • Maintain materials used in the facilitation of these programs
  • Develop new curriculum, as well as manage changes and improvements to existing programs based on current research, utilization and trends
  • Participate in area and department meetings
  • Keep balance of private availability with class schedule
  • Manage attendance numbers for facilitated classes
  • Collaborate to support department and resort initiatives
  • Must be able to respond to a wide variety of individual guest needs in the areas of lifestyle management:
    • be familiar with health and wellness issues and be able to respond appropriately
    • be familiar with community, national and international resources for a variety of guest needs
    • be able to relate empathically and helpfully to individual guests
    • be able to meaningfully facilitate groups and workshops
    • possess good communication and public speaking skills
    • understand, practice and model mindfulness
  • Fulfills marketing requests (i.e.: article requests, blog posts, etc.)
  • Must proactively engage in communication with team
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in integrative health and wellness focused programs, preferably in a spa or resort settings
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in independent practice and/or facilitating groups
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively and empathically to sensitive guest issues and complaints
  • Ability to write reports, lectures and articles
  • Ability to create and give clear, concise presentations
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
