Job description

ob Title: Station Supervisor
Location: Naperville
Pay Rate: $19.00
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for assisting the station management team in the overall operation of the inspection station in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform remitter transactions and disseminating information about the Illinois Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the station manager and assistant manager in the overall operation of the inspection station.
  • Provide assistance with the remitter program
  • Assist with manpower needs of the station.
  • Performs overt auditing when directed by the station manager or assistant manager
  • Performs waiver inspections on all applicable vehicles, and grants waivers according to IEPA guidelines
  • Travels to other stations as needed to provide staffing support
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the station manager

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Ability to learn and understand the function of selected emissions control devices
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good time management and teambuilding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and satisfaction
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population in a variety of situations
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to enter and exit customer vehicles and stoop, bend, and reach
  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous vehicle inspection experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
