Job description

Software Engineer, ERP & Infor CloudSuite DistributionHelp Build and Support a Business-Critical ERP Platform

TestEquity is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with hands-on ERP development, Infor CloudSuite Distribution, SQL, and distribution-industry experience to join our IT team.

This is not a general software development position. The successful candidate will play a key technical role in an ongoing project. TestEquity’s enterprise transformation initiative focused on establishing a unified ERP environment and a consistent source of truth for products, customers, and transactions.

You will support ERP development, system integrations, data workflows, testing, implementation readiness, and long-term platform maintenance. Your work will extend beyond the initial ERP implementation. After go-live, you will help maintain, enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize the ERP ecosystem as business needs continue to evolve.

If you have developed solutions within Infor CloudSuite Distribution or SX.e, understand how technology supports a distribution business, and enjoy solving complex enterprise-system problems, this is an opportunity to make a lasting organizational impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions supporting the organization’s ERP environment.
  • Develop, configure, customize, and support solutions within Infor CloudSuite Distribution, also known as Infor CSD or SX.e.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for ERP development throughout implementation, testing, go-live readiness, stabilization, and ongoing post-implementation maintenance.
  • Write, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and other database objects.
  • Support integrations between Infor CSD and connected enterprise applications, databases, APIs, eCommerce systems, and business platforms.
  • Translate distribution-business requirements into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
  • Partner with business analysts, project teams, functional leaders, external vendors, and other developers to understand process requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support data migration, data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and remediation activities.
  • Participate in end-to-end ERP testing, including standard business processes, exceptions, integrations, edge cases, and production-readiness scenarios.
  • Troubleshoot ERP application, database, integration, and production issues; identify root causes and implement sustainable resolutions.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, data integrity, system reliability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain technical documentation for system configurations, integrations, database processes, deployments, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews and help strengthen development standards, source control practices, release processes, and system documentation.
  • Evaluate business processes and recommend opportunities for automation, system improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing application support, enhancements, and maintenance after the ERP implementation is completed.
  • Perform other duties related to enterprise systems and software development as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following core requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional software development experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on ERP development experience, including the development, configuration, customization, integration, implementation, or ongoing support of an ERP platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Infor CloudSuite Distribution, Infor CSD, or SX.e.
  • Strong SQL development experience, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Professional experience supporting a distribution, wholesale distribution, supply-chain, inventory, warehouse, or order-management environment.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems with third-party applications, databases, APIs, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting ERP, application, database, or integration issues in a production environment.
  • Understanding of distribution workflows such as order management, inventory, purchasing, pricing, fulfillment, customer data, vendor data, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with version control, software-development lifecycle practices, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across a cross-functional project team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality, system reliability, and data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, or enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience with data conversion, migration, validation, or master-data initiatives.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based ERP applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile development, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing.
  • Experience with other programming languages or frameworks used to support enterprise applications.
  • Previous involvement in a major ERP implementation, consolidation, or transformation initiative.
  • Experience supporting an ERP platform beyond go-live, including stabilization, upgrades, enhancements, and production support.
What Success Looks Like
  • ERP enhancements and integrations are delivered accurately, securely, and reliably.
  • Business requirements are translated into maintainable technical solutions.
  • Data and system issues are identified early and resolved with minimal operational disruption.
  • ERP testing and implementation milestones receive strong technical support.
  • Post-go-live systems remain stable, scalable, documented, and responsive to evolving business needs.
  • Business teams have a trusted technical partner who understands both Infor CSD and the realities of a distribution environment.
Why This Role Matters

This position will help shape the ERP environment that supports the organization’s products, customers, transactions, and critical business processes. This person will not simply deliver code for a temporary project, they will help establish and support a business-critical platform that the organization will continue to maintain and improve after implementation.
