Job description

A mid-size commercial law firm based in New York City, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal. Candidates should have at least two (2) years of experience as a litigation paralegal, working on Federal and State Court matters. The Firm provides a broad range of legal services including corporate, litigation, labor and employment, real estate, financial services, executive compensation, tax, private equity, and restructuring. The Firm has been recognized in industry rankings for its performance, diversity, and attorney experience. The firm maintains a collaborative culture, a practical legal approach, and a cost-focused service model, supported by attorneys with backgrounds from widely-recognized boutique and larger law firm environments. This role will support attorneys across all stages of litigation and related matters, handling case management, document preparation, and maintenance of case files within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working under the supervision of senior legal staff.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage case files, track deadlines, and support overall case organization.
  • Draft and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct cite checking, proofreading, and verification of legal authorities under Bluebook rules.
  • Coordinate document service, filings, and court submissions in state and federal courts.
  • Assist attorneys in deposition, hearing, and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials.
  • Perform factual research, prepare chronologies, and summarize deposition transcripts and discovery materials.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate, plus 2-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Proficiency with Westlaw, Lexis, CaseMap, TextMap, and familiarity with Relativity.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support teams.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and related tools, with flexibility for overtime when required.

Compensation: $100,000-115,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
