Position Overview

Live Freely Psychological Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to make a profound impact on the mental health and well-being of individuals, couples, and families across Maryland, particularly those who seek help navigating complex relational dynamics and mental health challenges.

About the Organization

At Live Freely Psychological Health Center, we are committed to excellence in mental health care. We pride ourselves on our integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure that our clients receive tailored treatment that addresses their unique circumstances. Our team embodies empathy, collaboration, and a deep commitment to fostering a supportive environment where clients can flourish. We serve a diverse clientele and champion values of cultural competence and social justice in all aspects of our work.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, empowering our therapists to provide care from the comfort of their own environment while maintaining a high level of connection with clients. Our outpatient office setting promotes flexibility, allowing for a personalized approach to patient interaction and therapy sessions. Although you will work independently, you will be part of a cohesive team that encourages communication and collaboration through virtual meetings, case consultations, and peer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments with individuals, couples, and families to identify their therapeutic needs.
  • Design and implement customized treatment plans utilizing an array of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, systems theory, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate weekly therapy sessions focusing on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and enhancing emotional intelligence among clients.
  • Document client progress thoroughly and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to ensure holistic care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center serves a broad demographic, focusing primarily on individuals, couples, and families contending with challenges such as marital discord, parenting issues, anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and post-trauma recovery. Our therapists are adept at engaging with clients from various cultural backgrounds, ensuring that care is inclusive and leaves no one behind.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Maryland.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in clinical social work services is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A strong commitment to cultural competence, social justice, and ethical principles in therapeutic practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote setting and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
  • Advanced experience in specialized therapeutic modalities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Compensation and Benefits
  • The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • A competitive compensation package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Life insurance and a robust retirement plan to support your financial security.
  • Flexible work hours and potential for a sustainable work-life balance.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in investing in our staff's professional development. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Live Freely Psychological Health Center, you will have the opportunity to attend workshops, obtain additional certifications, and participate in supervision programs to advance your clinical skills. Our collaborative environment fosters mentorship and growth, enabling therapists to pursue leadership roles within the organization over time.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming a member of our team, you will be part of an organization that values each therapist's contributions, empowers its staff, and prioritizes client outcomes. Your work will not only help individuals and families heal but also promote mental health advocacy in your community. Join us in creating a supportive and transformative space where therapists and clients alike can thrive.
