Job description

CONCRETE BOOM PUMP OPERATORย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Florida Concrete Pumping (FCP)

We are building the most professional, respected concrete pumping operation in Florida. Weโ€™re not looking for someone who can simply 'run a pump.' Weโ€™re looking for someone who owns their machine.ย
What 'A-Player' Means at FCP
โ€ข Shows up early. Not on time โ€” early.
โ€ข Knows their pump inside and out.
โ€ข Prevents breakdowns instead of reacting to them.
โ€ข Keeps their truck cleaner than most personal vehicles.
โ€ข Protects the companyโ€™s reputation on every single job.
โ€ข Treats the pump like a $500,000 asset โ€” because it is.
Core Responsibilities
Elite-Level Equipment Operation
โ€ข Operate boom pump safely, efficiently, and smoothly under all jobsite conditions.
โ€ข Manage pressure properly to reduce wear and prevent line blockages.
โ€ข Set up with precision โ€” outriggers level, boom positioned intelligently, no shortcuts.
โ€ข Communicate clearly with contractors and finish crews to keep pours flowing.
Ownership-Level Maintenance
You are responsible for your machine.
โ€ข Conduct thorough daily inspections beyond the checklist.
โ€ข Maintain hopper, rock valve, wear parts, clamps, gaskets, and reducers.
โ€ข Monitor hydraulic systems, pivot points, boom pins, and pipeline integrity.
โ€ข Perform consistent greasing and lubrication per manufacturer standards.
โ€ข Identify minor issues before they become major downtime.
โ€ข Keep accurate maintenance logs.
โ€ข Work directly with mechanics to solve problems proactively.
We measure operators by uptime, cleanliness, and mechanical awareness โ€” not just yards pumped.
Cleanliness & Professional Standards
โ€ข Take pride in having one of the cleanest pumps on any jobsite.
โ€ข Conduct periodic deep-cleaning of boom sections and hard-to-reach areas.
โ€ข Use proper washout containment procedures to prevent environmental violations.
โ€ข Protect customer driveways, sidewalks, and landscaping during setup and washout.
โ€ข Immediately remove hardened concrete buildup from hopper, grate, and pipeline.
โ€ข Store hoses, reducers, clamps, and accessories neatly and securely.
โ€ข Keep remote controls clean and protected from damage.
โ€ข Ensure all grease points are wiped clean after servicing โ€” no excessive residue.
โ€ข Maintain polished company image โ€” truck should be jobsite-ready at all times.
โ€ข Full wash-down after every job.
โ€ข No excessive concrete buildup.
โ€ข Clean cab. Organized tools. Secured pipeline.
โ€ข Leave jobsites cleaner than you found them.
โ€ข Represent FCP professionally in appearance and attitude.
Our equipment is our brand.
Compensation for Top Talent
โ€ข Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
โ€ข Overtime opportunities.
โ€ข Paid Time Off.
โ€ข Advancement opportunitiesย
โ€ข Long-term growth with an aggressively expanding company.
Minimum Requirements
โ€ข CDL (Class A or B preferred).
โ€ข 2+ years boom pump experience preferred.
โ€ข Clean driving record.
โ€ข Strong understanding of safety standards.
โ€ข Mechanical aptitude.
