Responsibilities
  • Increase our ability to evaluate general pediatric neurological problems: the demand of the the service has been steadily and sharply increasing.
  • Perform out-patient pediatric neurology evaluations and which has a strong and growing demand.
  • Knowledgeable about neurology medications
  • Evaluate new general neurology patients
  • See follow up patients from hospital in the clinic setting
  • Take patients calls and discuss results with parents
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned
Additional Information

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama Required
  • Completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program Required
  • NPC - Certified Nurse Practitioner Certification as a nurse practitioner Required and
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner Licensure with the state of Alabama as a nurse practitioner Required and
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Licensure with the state of Alabama as a registered nurse Required
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
