Job description

Live Experience Design and Production - Various Disciplines.
The Academy of Live Technology at Rock Lititz in partnership with Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for future adjunct teaching positions in our Live Experience Design and Production program.
Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in developing and teaching college-level courses, conducting course and program-level assessment of student learning, and facilitating student access to career pathways through their industry networks and connections. The candidate will have experience and expertise in one or more of the following live event industry disciplines:
  • Live Sound
  • Lighting Design and Production
  • Visual Design and Production
  • Staging and Rigging
  • Production and/or Tour Management
  • Stage Management

General Responsibilities:
The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the Department Chair; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.
Please note that this position requires in-person delivery, (or in some cases, hybrid with a bias towards in-person). Applicants should be located within reasonable commuting distance from Lititz, PA.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following credentials and experience:
  • Have earned at minimum a Bachelor's degree in technical production or related field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in one or more of the following industry sectors:
    • Concert touring and/or one-off events
    • Corporate events
    • Venue operations/management
    • Systems installation/integration
    • Theatre
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge within their respective field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to expand the professional network of the Live Experience Design & Production program and foster relationships with industry professionals relevant to the needs and interests of our students
