Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring support with daily activities and health management. This vital role offers the opportunity to create meaningful connections while ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of those in your care. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life through personalized care plans and attentive support. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in a dynamic caregiving environment and are committed to making a positive impact every day.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient observations, including vital signs, to track health status and report changes promptly
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting
  • Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheter care tools to promote safe mobility and hygiene
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Conduct home safety assessments, cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment
  • Provide compassionate support in hospice settings or during end-of-life care situations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia training are a plus
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs
  • Excellent observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health changes promptly
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their families
