Job description

The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking a highly qualified Thoracic Surgeon to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team dedicated to serving America’s Veterans.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead, develop, and grow a comprehensive thoracic surgery program in a collaborative environment that supports excellence, innovation, education, and clinical advancement.

Position Highlights
  • Provide full-spectrum thoracic surgical care, including:
    • Advanced lung cancer care
    • Robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
    • Esophageal and foregut disease
    • Pleural disease
    • Chest wall tumors
    • Pulmonary nodules
    • Complex thoracic pathologies
  • Work within a progressive, mission-driven VA healthcare system.
  • Participate in teaching residents and medical students.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary oncology care, educational conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research.
  • Enjoy strong support for leadership, program development, and service expansion.
