Project Coordinator / Construction Operations Coordinator

J & S Custom Homes | Reno, NV

About the Role

J & S Custom Homes is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to help keep our projects, documentation, and communication running smoothly. This role supports project managers, field staff, vendors, clients, and accounting by helping ensure projects stay organized, deadlines are tracked, and critical details do not fall through the cracks.

This is an in-office position based in Northwest Reno and is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project documentation and job files
  • Track project milestones, deadlines, and action items
  • Assist with budget, billing, and change order tracking
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor paperwork
  • Help maintain project management and accounting systems
  • Support communication between field, office, clients, and vendors
  • Organize meeting notes, follow-up items, and project records
  • Assist with reporting and operational process improvements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project coordination, construction administration, or similar experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Construction industry experience is preferred
  • Experience with Sage, Buildertrend, Procore, or similar software is a plus
