Work Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours. Some evening and weekend hours will be required, in addition to occasional travel.

Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for a Performing Arts Coordinator. Working with the Performance and Production Management team, the Performing Arts Coordinator plays a vital role in the production of performances, tours, and other special events for the College. The Performing Arts Coordinator will also manage the day to day operations of Westminster Conservatory, ensuring smooth processes for registration, contracting, payments, and program implementation.
The successful candidate will work with the College's faculty to design, support, and implement performances by the College's students and ensembles. The candidate will have knowledge and experience with business, calendar, facilities, and planning operations, as well as a background in classical music, dance, or theater performance and/or production.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in classical music, theater, or dance performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in classical music, theater, or dance as a performer, producer, coordinator, or manager (knowledge of basic procedures, terminology, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scheduling software, Office suite, etc.
  • Demonstrated high-level organizational skills
  • Demonstrated practice of professional demeanor with colleagues and with members of the public at all times
  • Flexible, willing and availability to travel and work outside of business hours.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Arts Administration or a closely related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience in Arts Administration, Program Management, Event Management or related field
  • Demonstrated success as a producer, coordinator, or manager of classical music events.
  • Familiarity with platforms like 25Live, VBO Tickets, and Banner.
