The Security Systems Installer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading various security systems primarily for commercial sites. Working as part of a large team, this role involves hands-on tasks such as wiring, equipment testing, and troubleshooting integrated systems including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms. Regional travel is expected to support installations across different locations.
Responsibilities
- Install and wire security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep systems functional
- Implement system upgrades and enhancements as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security equipment
- Document installation processes, configurations, and service reports
- Collaborate effectively with a team of 4 or more installers on-site
- Travel regionally to various commercial installation locations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in security systems installation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CCTV installation
- Knowledge of access control and alarm systems
- Familiarity with electrical wiring standards
- Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management skills
