Job Purpose and Impact

The Registered Nurse will perform occupational health care activities. In this role, you will provide health and wellness training and education, employee health services and compliance. You will be licensed to practice in your state of employment or have the equivalent in other geographies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Using technical knowledge and training, assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs. Provide health education on topics like ergonomics, wellness, and disease prevention
  • Conduct safety and ergonomic training and administer drug and alcohol programs. Conduct health assessments, screenings, and surveillance programs 
  • Treat, evaluate and assess employee illness or injury and determine medical direction. Provide first aid and emergency care for work-related injuries and illnesses 
  • Develop, formulate and implement plans of care based on stand order and medical directives. 
  • Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work and when to refer them to an outside medical provider.
  • Support record keeping in accordance with relevant regulations. Maintain OSHA compliance and workplace safety standards 
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
  Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Registered Nurse (or equivalent certification in other regions/geographies)
  • Willing and able to work a second shift.
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in occupational health or emergency nursing 
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification, or similar
Job nformation

Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
This position has a schedule of 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, some flexibility needed.
This position requires availability to be on call (phone triage) during weekends.
We have a shift differential of 1.5 per hourly rate o similar.
This position is located in Butler, Wisconsin.
