SUMMARY OF POSITION:

To ensure the residents a very clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community, therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employeeโ€™s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
  • Thoroughly cleaning apartments prior to new residents moving in, including living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.
  • Stripping and waxing hallways.
  • Cleaning laundry rooms, offices, maintenance shops, clubhouse, and all common areas.
  • Cleans up trash in common areas.
  • Vacuum carpets.
  • Clean windows, doors, and furnishings.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Prior housekeeping experience.
  • Familiarity with the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to read the English language.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Physical Activities up to and including, typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

GENERAL:

  • Hours worked will coincide with the hours of operation in the community. This position may be required to work on weekends as necessary.
