Position Overview:

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Engineer to join our Biomedical/Clinical Engineering team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the safe, effective, and reliable operation of clinical equipment throughout the hospital. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of healthcare environments, working closely with clinical staff to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance of medical devices.

Education Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or at least 5 years of qualifying experience in a related field.

Certification Qualifications:

  • Proficient in servicing a broad range of medical equipment, including patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, imaging systems, and defibrillators.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards applicable to healthcare equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CBET, CCE, or related certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting in a biomedical/clinical engineering role.
    • Experience with hospital CMMS platforms (e.g., TMS, AIMS, Nuvolo).
    • Familiarity with networked medical equipment and device cybersecurity protocols.
    • Prior involvement in large-scale equipment rollouts or hospital renovations.
    • Project management or capital planning experience.
