Job Summary
The Department of Urology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is currently recruiting a research faculty member with a PhD, MD or MD/PhD for a tenure-track Associate, or Professor Position. The successful candidate will have a recognized focus on Urologic Oncology. The primary appointments will be in the Department of Urology and the NCI designated, Markey Cancer Center. Collaboration with members of our vibrant multidisciplinary Prostate Cancer team, as well as broadly with investigators within the Markey Cancer Center and basic science and clinical departments will be encouraged. Dual appointment with appropriate basic science or clinical Departments will be considered.
Applicants are expected to have a track record of federal funding. Upon arrival to UK, the faculty member will be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research and engage in scholarly activities (peer-reviewed publications, presentations, etc.). The position will also support the broader research effort within the College of Medicine and UK. The faculty member in this position will support the College's mission and goals to increase research efforts, assist faculty and residents in developing research protocol in the college and provide mentoring support of faculty and residents' research efforts.

The University of Kentucky serves as both a tertiary care center for patients with complex Urology illnesses and also as a local/regional referral center for patients within our community and surrounding areas. This position is necessary to provide teaching and training Urology residents/medical students. Salary and research space will be commensurate with rank and level of funding.
