Job description

An Update About Our Organization

There has never been a more exciting time to grow with CLV Group!

With the July 2026 acquisition of InterRent, we have strengthened our national presence and united two established organizations with a shared commitment to our people, our residents, and the greater communities we serve. Together, we are building something truly remarkable.

About us

For more than 50 years, CLV Group has specialized in building vibrant communities that our residents across Canada are proud to call home. Our standard of excellence is no accident – it’s driven entirely by our amazing people.

Our Operations teams are at the heart of what we do, creating exceptional resident experiences and ensuring our communities are safe, welcoming, and well cared for every day. We're looking for people who take pride in their work and care about making a real difference in their community.

We are currently seeking a Live-In Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team at 100 Main Street, a 300-unit high-rise apartment community in downtown Hamilton. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled and dependable maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, has a customer-focused approach, and is passionate about creating exceptional living experiences for residents.

In this position, you will help ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently while delivering outstanding service and support to our residents. You will play a key role in maintaining the overall quality, appearance, and functionality of the community.

As a Live-In Maintenance Technician, you'll have the unique opportunity to live and work at 100 Main, experiencing firsthand what makes this community a great place to call home. Located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, 100 Main is a high-rise residential community featuring spacious one-and two-bedroom suites, modern renovations, private balconies, and stunning city views. Situated within Hamilton's vibrant business district, the property offers residents unparalleled convenience, with easy access to Jackson Square, Gore Park, Hess Village, shopping, dining, schools, parks, and public transit. With a Walk Score of 99 and Hamilton GO Centre just a short walk away, 100 Main provides an exceptional urban living experience in one of the city's most connected neighbourhoods.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a maintenance professional, responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
  • Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
  • Assist with seasonal property operations, including snow removal.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
  • Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and professional experience in a wide variety of residential maintenance and light renovation tasks.
  • General understanding of residential building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and heating systems.
  • Experience in performing basic appliance and fixture repairs is considered a strong asset.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Our Team + What You Can Expect

  • Most work will be completed on-site at 100 Main Street E, Hamilton ON. The successful candidate may be required to work at other locations based on operational needs and at the discretion of the employer.
  • Must have valid, class G driver’s license, access to personal vehicle, and clean drivers abstract to respond to urgent work orders at neighboring properties.
  • Must have tools necessary to complete basic maintenance tasks. Any specialty tools required will be provided by the employer.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
  • Participation in an after-hours rotational response team may be required.

Compensation

  • The expected annual salary for this position is $35,000 - $40,000 per year + housing benefit (free apartment, including hot water & heat). Participation in our annual bonus program. With final compensation based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and other job-related qualifications. We encourage candidates at all stages of their careers to apply.
  • All employees are eligible for comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for themselves and their dependents, with 100% of benefit premiums covered by CLV Group.
  • Employees receive three weeks of paid vacation annually, accruing from their first day of employment, to support time away to rest and recharge.

Why CLV Group?

  • Work That Matters: Our site teams help create safe, welcoming and well cared for homes for thousands of residents. The work you do has a direct impact on people’s everyday lives.
  • Pride in Our Communities: Whether you are preparing a suite, completing a repair, maintaining a building, or supporting residents, you play an important role in keeping our communities running smoothly and looking their best.
  • Opportunities to Grow: CLV Group is a growing organization with opportunities to learn new skills and build a long-term career in property operations.
  • A Company That Gives Back: Caring for communities is part of who we are. We support local charities, community initiatives and programs that make a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work.
