Live In Amazon Tracking information

What is the difference between Live In Amazon Tracking vs Amazon Warehouse Associate?

AspectLive In Amazon TrackingAmazon Warehouse Associate
CredentialsMinimal, often requires basic background checkHigh school diploma or equivalent, background check
Work EnvironmentResidential, live-in setup, flexible hoursWarehouse setting, physical labor, shift work
Industry UsageLogistics, delivery tracking, inventory managementOrder fulfillment, packing, shipping

Live In Amazon Tracking involves monitoring and managing Amazon deliveries from a residential setting, often with flexible hours. In contrast, an Amazon Warehouse Associate works physically in a warehouse environment, focusing on order picking and packing. Both roles are essential in Amazon's logistics chain but differ significantly in work environment and responsibilities.

Does Amazon pay $20 an hour?

Amazon delivery and warehouse jobs, including roles like Amazon tracking positions, typically pay around $15 to $20 per hour depending on location, experience, and shift. Some roles may offer higher wages with overtime or bonuses, but $20 an hour is not guaranteed for all positions. Compensation can vary based on the specific job and region.

Can you make a living being an Amazon delivery driver?

A live-in Amazon tracking role typically involves monitoring deliveries and ensuring timely updates, but it is not a delivery driver position. Amazon delivery drivers, such as those working for Amazon Logistics or contracted services, can make a full-time income depending on hours worked, location, and delivery volume, with some earning a competitive wage and tips. Success as a delivery driver often depends on efficiency, route management, and local demand.

Can you really work from home with Amazon?

Live In Amazon Tracking jobs typically require physical presence on-site, as they involve monitoring and managing inventory or shipments in a warehouse environment. Most Amazon roles that offer remote work are administrative or customer service positions, not warehouse or tracking jobs. Therefore, live-in tracking roles generally cannot be performed from home.

Can you do live tracking with Amazon?

Live In Amazon Tracking jobs typically involve monitoring shipments and inventory in real-time using tracking tools and software. These roles may require familiarity with logistics platforms, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Live tracking is a key component of supply chain management in such positions.

Job description

Application deadline: Jun 14, 2026
Amazon has built one of the most sophisticated supply chains in the world. From the introduction of Amazon Prime to the deployment of advanced automation across our fulfillment network, Amazon continuously raises the bar for operational excellence and customer experience.
The Sub Same Day (SSD) Field Engineering team is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented Senior Field Operations Engineer to support the deployment, optimization, and reliability of next-generation fulfillment technologies across the SSD network. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and operations, working directly in the field to ensure complex automation systems are designed, implemented, and executed to deliver safe, stable, and scalable operations.
As a Senior Field Operations Engineer, you will lead engineering initiatives supporting site launches, automation retrofits, and operational performance improvements across multiple fulfillment sites

You will partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, RME, Ops Engineering, and external vendors to diagnose complex system challenges, implement scalable solutions, and ensure successful delivery of automation programs in live operational environments.
This role requires strong technical depth in material handling systems, automation integration, and operational engineering, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results in highly ambiguous and fast-paced environments. Successful candidates are self-starters who thrive in the field, take ownership of complex problems, and bring a data-driven approach to improving system performance, safety, and reliability.
You will participate across the full lifecycle of engineering programs, including system implementation, validation, performance testing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of deployed technologies. The role requires high collaboration, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to translate engineering insights into operational improvements at scale.
Amazon's culture encourages innovation and expects engineers to take a high level of ownership in solving complex problems that directly impact our customers and operations.
Locations: Open to candidates in multiple U.S

locations.
Come help us build the future of SSD fulfillment.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex cross-functional engineering programs with significant operational impact, supporting new site launches, automation retrofits, and system performance improvements across the SSD network.
Define project scope, objectives, delivery timelines, and budgets while analyzing operational and engineering data to drive measurable improvements in system performance, safety, and throughput.
Develop deep technical expertise in material handling and automation systems, including system limitations, performance drivers, design constraints, and operational boundary conditions.
Deep dive technical solutions involving advanced automation technologies, conveyor systems, material handling equipment (MHE), and vendor-delivered systems to ensure solutions meet operational and reliability requirements.
Lead coordination between internal engineering teams, operations, RME, and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions across equipment specification, material flow design, site layout, and system implementation.
Facilitate and contribute to engineering and design reviews, assessing impacts to system architecture, facility operations, safety standards, and long-term scalability.
Manage project financials and vendor deliverables including RFP development, contract negotiations, change order management, purchase orders, and invoice validation.
Build strong partnerships with SSD Fulfillment Center leadership and cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Launch, Facilities, Finance, Safety, and Process Engineering teams.
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance system reliability, operational performance, and customer experience across multiple sites within a geographic region.
Develop deep cross-functional understanding of operations and engineering tools, systems, and processes to drive scalable solutions across the SSD network.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions in fast-paced and ambiguous operational environments.
Travel up to 60% across North America, supporting site launches, retrofits, and operational engineering initiatives. Travel may include multi-week trips and occasional weekend support.
A day in the life
