As a caregiver on our team, you’ll deliver essential support and companionship that helps clients live independently with a higher quality of life. In this role, you’ll make a real impact by providing meaningful companionship that enhances each client’s daily life.
CareBuilders at Home caregivers provide non-medical services to clients in the comfort of their homes. Caregivers support clients by promoting safety, independence, and quality of life while following all agency policies, client care plans, and state regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Provide personalized care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Light housekeeping (dusting, sweeping, dishes, tidying)
Laundry and linen changes
Meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs
Grocery shopping and errands
Organization and household assistance
Friendly conversation and emotional support
Recreational activities, reading, and engagement
Accompanying clients to social outings or appointments (if authorized)
Providing supervision and promoting a safe environment
Transportation (If Permitted by Agency Policy) to appointments, errands, or community activities
Observing and reporting changes in condition
Following the client's individualized service plan
Maintaining client confidentiality and privacy
Comply with CT mandated reporting requirements for abuse or neglect
Requirements
• Two years of previous experience in home care or a related field
Legally authorized to work in the United States
18 years of age or older
CPR Certification preferred
Follow a detailed care plan and complete daily reporting post shift
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required only if transportation is provided as part of duties.
A valid driver's license is not a requirement to apply for the job or to be hired.
Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle driving record check
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time
Maintain client confidentiality and privacy
Comply with CT elder abuse and neglect reporting requirements
