Job description

As Equitable continues its journey to becoming a standalone US public company, we are seeking actuaries to support this exciting and challenging journey, and who will thrive in a fast-changing environment involving one of the most complex product portfolios in the industry.

The Actuarial organization within Equitable has developed a multi-year roadmap, including strengthening the core processes of a standalone company, implementing new regulatory and accounting requirements, and improving our processes and efficiency through greater automation, enabling greater focus on analysis.

We are looking to hire talented actuaries in a multitude of roles across the Actuarial department, including Assumptions, Model Development, Valuation &#CD# Projections, Strategic Projects (including Hedging, ALM, Reinsurance, M&#CD#A), Process Design &#CD# Improvement, and Regulatory and Methodology. #CD#


We are focused on talent development and talent mobility. #CD# We are looking to hire actuaries who will have the flexibility and ability to be able to fill a number of roles over time as they develop and grow, and as the team focuses on the areas that can add the most value to the company.


Responsibilities will include:

 #CD#Coordinates, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses and project planning relative to a major departmental priority - e.g., pricing, reserving, projections, assumption setting
 #CD#Can create new models and processes, validate, and communicate analysis to upper management
 #CD#Provides consultation and clarification on actuarial models and risk issues, may be department model expert
 #CD#Maintains documentation of actuarial analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:
 #CD#Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related discipline

 #CD#3+ years of actuarial experience
 #CD#ASA, actively pursuing FSA designation
 #CD#Results-oriented and motivated to take ownership of projects
 #CD#Strong verbal and written communication skills
 #CD#Capacity and eagerness to challenge and influence in a highly collaborative way
