Job description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs, including individuals with develoopmentally disabilities and those requiring home care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to caregiving and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Provide patient monitoring to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Support individuals by implementing personalized care plans and engaging them in meaningful activities.
  • Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all home care standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and progress.
  • Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately.
  • Foster a supportive relationship with clients to encourage independence and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients as needed while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients.
