Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat focused on improving clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
• Engaging clients in discussions about their emotions and experiences to facilitate self-discovery and insight into their relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients, helping them to set and achieve personal goals aligned with their mental health journeys.
• Evaluating clients' mental health conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans that utilize solution-focused strategies tailored to their unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with are thoughtfully screened before booking appointments to ensure they are stable adults with low acuity needs. This means you can focus on providing high-quality mental health support without the complexities that often accompany severe mental health cases. We match you with clients based on your specialties and demographic preferences, fostering a more productive and satisfying therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A completed Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Holding a state license in good standing to practice as a counselor independently, including any of the following:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling preferences are advantageous.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience in telehealth counseling is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with varied therapeutic modalities and approaches will be beneficial in meeting the diverse needs of our client population. Strong communication skills and technological proficiency are essential for effective case management and client interaction.
