Job description

West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. West Fraser, Cochrane is currently recruiting for a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician.

You'll Do:

  • Maintain a variety of mobile equipment – forklifts, loaders, highway tractors
  • Verify and document repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing various pieces of equipment issues

You have:

  • Red Seal HET and valid journeyman certificate.
  • CVIP sign-off accreditation.
  • Commitment to working safely and creating a safe work place.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with air conditioning systems, hydraulic systems.
  • Strong diagnostic skills using computer based systems.
  • Availability to work nights and Saturdays.

Compensation Package:

  • The hourly pay rate for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
