Job Summary

The eDiscovery Litigation Sr. Analyst is an experienced and dynamic member of PayPal’s Global eDiscovery Team ("GET"), responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of eDiscovery within the litigation function. This role supports the full eDiscovery lifecycle—from data collection and processing through document review and production—while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across information technology, information security, data privacy, and information governance. The incumbent brings demonstrated expertise in eDiscovery platforms and litigation support applications, with a commitment to best practices, quality control, and continuous process improvement.

  • Scope: The project & program responsibilities are focused on internal information system-specific project tasks or non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, both typically from initiation through delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and manage project portfolios.
  • Lead and mentor project teams.
  • Coordinate efforts across various teams to maintain progress and quality.
  • Identify and mitigate significant project risks.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Provide strategic updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively.

PayPal’s Legal Team is seeking an experienced and dynamic eDiscovery Litigation Sr. Analyst to join its litigation team. You will work closely with fellow litigation team members and internal stakeholders to coordinate and manage all aspects of eDiscovery, including data collection, processing, and project management. PayPal’s Global eDiscovery Team (GET) is part of a fast-growing and dynamic technology discipline at the cutting edge of legal technology and process innovation, including technology-assisted review and artificial intelligence. The incumbent plays a key role managing this function both within EMEA and across the broader organization.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Ensure PayPal eDiscovery and litigation protocols and procedures are executed in accordance with existing and future written guidelines and workflows.
  • Fulfill eDiscovery tickets related to the collection and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) according to deadlines and department procedures, ensuring proper QC and volume reporting for metrics purposes.
  • Work directly within PayPal’s eDiscovery technology applications, including Relativity One, BrainSpace, iPro, and other evidence processing and handling applications; participate in regular training and educational resources to grow thought leadership.
  • Respond to internal and third-party requests related to ESI, manage company document review workflows, and oversee document productions in compliance with legal obligations.
  • Evaluate and respond to case team inquiries regarding data or process issues, project deadlines, and billing matters.
  • Compose reports for attorneys regarding various aspects of a matter, including organizing and maintaining legal files and case-related information.
Expected Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or a related legal operations function.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate (ABA approved), JD, or equivalent legal education preferred.
