Job description

Service Bartender - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants
Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour. This is not a tipped position.
Schedule: Seasonal event-based position available only during the Hawks season. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, some holidays, and all Atlanta Hawks home games.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience working in a bar/bartender setting. The In-Seat Bartender has a knowledge of basic drink recipes and bar operations. They have the ability to communicate effectively, problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
Qualifications
  • Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conflict resolutions and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and work well with others.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary
Summary: The Service Bartender is responsible for supporting our premium courtside service operations during the Hawks season. This non-customer facing role is responsible for preparing high quality beverages for guest on the event floor. They have a strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, works well under pressure, and thrives behind the bar without direct guest interation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets team members in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
