Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Painter to join our production team.  The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting and finishing a variety of architectural metal products and components in accordance with company and industry standards.  This positions plays a critical role in ensuring customer products meet appearance and durability requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply liquid paint to product surfaces in accordance with manufacturer and customer specifications.
  • Reduce paint to in accordance with manufacturer product data sheets
  • Perform on-line quality control procedures.
  • Perform color changes including, but not limited to cleaning paint guns, pumps and pressure pots.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and participate in regular planned maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot common paint issues.


Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of industrial or automotive painting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work as a team or independently.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, on a constantly moving production line.
  • Painter is required to wear a respirator and candidate is required to pass a qualitative medical review and fit test.
