Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70.05hr - $75.05hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Configuring and patching U-boot and Linux for an embedded system.
  • Configuring the root file system for an embedded system.
  • Configuring Linux device trees.
  • Linux boot process on an embedded system.
  • BASH scripting.
  • DoD SECRET security clearance or be qualified to obtain one.

Responsibilities:

  • Create designs and add features to current designs.
  • Develop operating system configurations.
  • Support existing and next-generation military communications software.
  • Work closely with hardware, drivers, boot code, RTOS, interfaces, and platform integration.
  • Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production using C and C++ in a cross compiled environment.

Nice to Have:

  • C++ experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with PetaLinux, Yocto, or VxWorks.
  • Linux driver development.
  • Experience with Buildroot, jffs2, UBI, and ubifs.
  • Experience with Busybox.
  • Board bring-up / JTAG.
  • Experience debugging hardware.
  • Experience with Linux kernel/device drivers.
  • Third party and open source software license documentation.
  • Familiarity with code revision management tools such as BitBucket.
