Title: Application Java Developer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 Months 

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Java, Python, and Perl
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration points with internal and external systems
• Modernize and refactor existing Perl-based or legacy applications into modern architectures
• Create automation scripts, system tools, and scheduled jobs to support IT operations
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards
• Design and implement SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-processing workflows
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and sprint planning
• Debug and resolve complex issues across multiple languages and platforms
• Deploy applications to cloud or on premise environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Linux/Unix)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Perl for scripting, system utilities, or legacy app maintenance
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with ETL, data pipelines, or batch processing
• Experience with version control (Git/Subversion) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with legacy system migration projects- Preferred - 5 years
