Linux System Administrator - Full Time, Hybrid - Downtown Chicago - Pension Eligible

Your Linux Admin skills are great, but your personality is really what shines.

We've been asked by a well-established enterprise in downtown Chicago to find them their next Linux System Administrator who will join their current team of Linux pros. They are modernizing their infrastructure, and you will play a key role in much more than just chasing tickets.

You'll engage the team, the business, and others to solve tech problems, automate repetitive work, and build resilient environments. Tech includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware ESXi, HPE ProLiant & Synergy, Azure, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Oracle, Veeam / Avamar, SAN Storage, Docker / Kubernetes and much more.

Other than your dynamic personality and jovial communication skills, you must have:

  • 2+ years of Linux administration
  • Red Hat and Ansible
  • Scripting/automation mindset
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Interest in improving systems, not just maintaining them

This is a Full-time position with salary, bonus, and a PENSION. The work is hybrid, with 3 days per week in their downtown Chicago office. Ready? LOCAL (Current Chicago area) residents only, no third parties.
