Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM z/VM environments.
• Provision and manage Linux on IBM Z (s390x) virtual servers.
• Perform system upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning.
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization.
• Support high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure and maintain virtual networking, storage, and security components.
• Troubleshoot operating system, virtualization, and infrastructure issues.
• Implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and system administration tasks.
• Collaborate with application, database, storage, and network teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call support and production incident resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
oz/VM
oLinux on IBM Z (RHEL, SUSE, or Ubuntu for s390x)
