Job Description
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
SUMMARY
Works as part of a development team to define, design, and provide Engineering support for fixed site IT systems. Will collaborate with other USMC projects across the client's portfolio and with external stakeholders. Prepares status reports and presentations on architecture, design, and task performance to clients. May provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the end-to-end development and sustainment of hybrid software, web, and hardware solutions from requirements definition through deployment and lifecycle support.
  • Oversee system integration across network operating systems, application software, and hardware components; ensure seamless interoperability and performance.
  • Direct system specification, design, development, testing, and maintenance activities to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Evaluate and manage project impacts, including technical, financial, schedule, and organizational considerations.
  • Serve as task lead or manager, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver aligned, high-quality outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise briefings to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
  • Computer Science and IT Degree programs shall be accredited by one of the 4 regional accreditation bodies listed on the Council for Higher Education Accreditation website (www.chea.org):

o Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
o Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
o Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)
o Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
  • Engineering degrees shall be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program (see www.abet.org). Note: Technology degrees do not qualify as Engineering or Physical Science Degrees.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience with a Master's degree, or fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor's degree, supporting the development of integrated software, web, and hardware systems.
  • Systems engineering experience within DOD C5ISR programs, ideally USMC programs to include requirements management and specification development.

CLEARANCE
  • Current active Secret, with reasonable expectation of eligibility for a Top-Secret clearance in the future.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proven experience integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices within complex environments.
  • Strong background in system lifecycle activities, including requirements development, design, coding, testing, and sustainment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams across cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • Effective experience within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of developing and delivering professional briefings to diverse stakeholders.

LOCATION
  • The work location is on-site at North Charleston, SC with 0-20% travel expected.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (these are a Plus)
  • Linux development and/or integration experience
  • Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) experience
  • Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) integration experience
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • CMPro experience and/or familiarity
  • Hands-on experience with the USMC SETR process, and experience managing SETR events
