Job description

Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SLQ-32 PIT Engineering Technician. The Engineering Technician will support refurbishment, upgrade, and maintenance efforts for shelters associated with SLQ-32 radar systems within the Maritime Expeditionary Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This role requires a mechanically inclined, highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a hands-on technical environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can contribute to system readiness and equipment lifecycle sustainment. There are 2 open vacancies for this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • System setup and teardown
  • System level PIT testing
  • PIT report generation
  • (V)6 system integration with the (V)7
  • Support other PIT/Depot tasking as needed

Requirements

  • Basic electronics knowledge
  • Experience with SLQ-32 radar systems
  • Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Fiber optics certification
  • Solder certification is a plus
  • Familiarization with Linux is a plus
  • AA degree or higher is a plus
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
