UNIX Operations team is searching for a candidate who is proficient within a LINUX (Red Hat).
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience within systems administration. This candidate will provide LINUX support of around 300 servers. We are looking for an effective communicator and a problem-solving individual with good organizational skills and attention to detail. Responsibility will
encompass operational support of the LINUX estate, system maintenance (OS patching).
Job Requirements - Essential:
• RHEL Linux 8/9 administration/patch management.
• Linux Server builds and custom configurations.
• Performance tuning of Oracle database servers.
• Server Security vulnerability management.
• SolarWinds monitoring.
• Ansible playbook development.
• Ansible Automation Platform management and upgrades.
• Satellite 6 management and upgrades.
• VMware operational knowledge.
• Good knowledge of automation.
• Good server migrations skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Strong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology and firewalled environments.
Nice To Have:
• Storage management basics.

Unix/Linux Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

and automation.
• Keeping the UNIX environment compliant with the technology roadmap, such as OS
& hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades.
• Work on incident tickets and resolve in a timely manner.• Remediate Secunia OS vulnerabilities as required by regular security audits.
• Perform quarterly patching of RedHat to ensure systems are compliant and pass strict PCI security requirements as dictated by regular audits from security team.
• Interface with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization.
• Rotating on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24X7 environment.
• Documentation of work.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs.
• Research and development of new technology as required by business initiatives and management vision.
