What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)

As the Linux System Administrator, you'll get to be part of a team responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system’s security posture, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Required Skills
  • Experience using the Linux CLI
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
  • Experience performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
  • General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
  • Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
  • Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
  • Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
  • Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) automation tools e.g., SaltStack, Ansible
  • Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
  • Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
