We are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator with strong Linux and Bash skills, plus hands-on AWS experience (ASG, EC2, ALB, Route 53, RDS, etc). The ideal candidate will also have solid DBA/DB administration know-how.

This is a hybrid role based in our Montebello headquarters office in Rockland County, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Server Management: Provision, maintain, and secure Linux servers (patches, upgrades, troubleshooting).

  • AWS Infrastructure: Configure and optimize EC2 instances, Auto Scaling Groups, ALBs, Route 53, and RDS services.

  • Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain Bash scripts to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.

  • Database Admin: Perform routine backups, restores, and basic performance tuning for RDS instances.

  • Monitoring & Security: Use Datadog to track system health; implement security best practices and compliance measures.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with DevOps, development, and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments and issue resolution.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Linux systems administration experience.

  • Proficient in Bash scripting for automation.

  • Solid understanding of AWS services

  • Basic-to-intermediate DBA skills, MySql and PostGres

  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and communication in a remote environment.

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for potential future adoption.

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker).

  • Additional scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, etc.).
