Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team working in Crane, IN. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite per week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Provide support for the virtualization of Linux based virtual machines.
* Patch and STIG Linux Operating to ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance standards.
* Provide troubleshooting support for Linux/Windows Operating Systems.
* Perform system updates and server configurations, including upgrades of the Operating System.
* Implement changes to locally hosted workstations/servers. Support virtual and physical networking configurations.
* Provide hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
* Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&E enterprise.
* Provide support the virtualization of Linux based virtual machines. Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent education
* 7+ years of experience in IT
* 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator working with Linux
* Must possess a CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 / 8140 IAT Level III certification, or successfully obtain it within 30 days of offer acceptance and prior to beginning employment. Start date is contingent upon verification
* Experience with virtual and physical networking configuration
* Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks
* Experience working with DISA STIG guidance and RMF requirements Preferred Qualifications: * RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server
* RedHat 8/Ubuntu22, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server
* Familiar with High Performance Computing (HPC) and Load Balancing for various applications Clearance Requirements: * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret Security Clearance
* Uncleared candidates will be required to obtain an interim secret security clearance to start Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
* Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
