Job Description:

Linux Systems Administrator, Platform Support to provide support of technical hardware and software expertise in support of Linux Operating systems and platforms. This is a senior-level IT support position, with the expectation that the candidate has the advance Linux skills and knowledge with the ability to learn proprietary systems fast. Assist peer Linux architects & operational resources with day-to-day IT support functions and maintenance activities.

Role:

* Support and maintain operating system(s), such as Oracle Linux along with VMware to service customers.

* Complete status reports, implementations, troubleshooting of systems

* Use configuration management and infrastructure automation for repeatable tasks

* Design and implementation of OS build processes and automation providing the right level of control and validation

* Assist users with Operating Systems or hardware problems.

Required skills:

โ€ข Linux Engineer

โ€ข Linux troubleshooting knowledge (RHEL)

โ€ข Basic network troubleshooting required.

Knowledge / Experience:

* 5+ year of experience in systems administration

* Knowledge of operating systems, infrastructure software, communications, computer hardware and peripherals.

* Good knowledge and understanding of computer technology, incident management and problem resolution procedures is preferred.

* An understanding of project management principles is preferred.

Skills/ Abilities:
