Job description

Job Summary:
Versana is an industry-backed data and technology company focused on improving the syndicated loan market through real-time data capture and transparency. They are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to manage public cloud services, enhance DevOps practices, and support their real-time syndicated loan data platform.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate application modernization through DevOps practices and CI/CD toolchain implementation.
• Continually optimize systems and workflows by improving architecture, infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and observability.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are designed with DevOps best practices in mind.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure cloud infrastructure across the entire stack including network, application, and database layers.
• Maintain and enhance disaster recovery strategies and backup procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Participate in weekend release rotation and on-call rotation for production support.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to time as operational needs evolve.
• Periodically work outside standard business hours, such as during infrastructure upgrades and/or releases.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of experience in design, develop, test, and management of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI/CD, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc).
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, Powershell, etc.
• 3+ years of work experience with Public Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• 2+ years of experience in Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with messaging services like Kafka or Azure Eventhubs.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and tracing services (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, etc).
• Hands-on experience with build frameworks like Gradle, Maven, NPM.
• Experience with Linux operating system.
• Ability to partner with multi-functional teams and pivot quickly.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
