Openshift Platform Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Redhat OpenShift V4.
  • Troubleshoot the application issues in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environment.
  • Experience in creating Build, Deployment config files for applications on OpenShift.
  • Firsthand experience in creating S2I images, Stateful sets and converting existing docker images to an S2I image.
  • Working knowledge on OpenShift/Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Custom Helm charts
  • Knowledge on maintaining docker Image Repository like Quay
  • Experience and ability to create docker files, images, and containers.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines and GIT.
  • Firsthand experience in automating CI / CD needs on RedHat OpenShift / OCP
  • Work collaboratively with teams to ensure our products are successfully deployed, upgraded, and maintained.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) version 6.X and higher.
  • Elastic stack administration, performance and capacity management including Index curation/retention management.
  • Logstash and pipeline configuration and grok experience.
  • Working knowledge of Elastic Beats Filebeat, Heartbeat.
  • Working Experience with SonarQube/Coverity
  • Experience with Linux Scripting,. ksh, bash and Python. Experience with Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading WebSphere Application Server V9 and IBM HTTP server.
  • Experience of Middleware Administration, specifically in WebSphere/WebLogic Application Server on Linux or UNIX-based platforms.
  • Experience in understanding and debugging Java errors.
  • Strong Knowledge of SSL, TCP/IP Networking, LDAP.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills - collaborates well with diverse teams and independently
  • Initiative-taker with excellent organization, planning, meticulous documentation, and time management skills
  • Experience with 24/7 problem solving in an existing, complex environment including monitoring disk, CPU and network performance anomalies and the ability to act immediately upon system and/or network performance alarms
Required Experience and Skills
  • 8+ years of experience working on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • 8+ years of experience in Linux shell scripting
  • 5 years as in expert in application containerization management
  • Experience in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure, scripting/programming
  • 5 Plus years of experience with following skill sets
