Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator who can efficiently handle both L1 and L2-level tasks across servers, networks, and user systems. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive technical support, ensure system uptime, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in implementing IT infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Level 1 (L1) Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Perform user account creation, password resets, and access management in Active Directory or similar systems.
  • Handle printer, peripheral, and endpoint configuration.
  • Monitor system alerts and escalate issues to L2/L3 as necessary.
  • Log and track all incidents, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.

Level 2 (L2) Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, and system-level incidents escalated from L1.
  • Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, including patching, performance tuning, and backups.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Configure and manage virtualization environments (Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Support backup solutions, disaster recovery, and data restoration activities.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and support tickets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Windows Server / Linux administration
    • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
    • Virtualization (Hyper-V)
    • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls)
    • Backup and restore operations
  • Experience with monitoring tools.
  • Basic scripting or automation skills preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Server+ / Network+ / Security+
