Job Description
In this role, you will:
  • Install and maintain infrastructure components in a physical/virtualized Linux Environment
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of all aspects of Linux servers
  • Deployment and migration of applications and Oracle databases
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux Systems
  • Write and troubleshoot Linux Shell Scripts
  • Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on Linux servers.

Responsibilities
Job Specific Functions:
  • Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
  • Documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes and operating procedures

Qualifications
You have: (required)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years experience in Linux Server administration (Redhat/OEL)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)
  • Redhat Linux Certification (RHCSA/RHCT/RHCE)
  • Familiarity with HCI, VMWare, SAN management and Storage concepts
  • Working Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ITSM Tools (Service Now)
  • At least 2 years' experience in building and managing Redhat OpenShift based Virtualized environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux: RedHat, OEL, CentOS, etc.
  • Knowledge of Commvault Backup and EMC Data Domain
