  • * At least 18 years of age
  • * High school diploma or equivalent
  • * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • * Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, CKAD/CKA, or OpenShift certification preferred
  • * Ability to meet deadlines with Projects and Assignments.
  • * Knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of Linux, Windows, and Web application Servers.
  • * Working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures
  • * Familiar with Windows Servers and services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell.
  • * Familiar with VMware vSphere/ESXi to include virtual machine deployment, resource management, administration, and snapshots
  • * Experience administering and supporting OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker containerized environments preferred
  • * Prefer experience with install, configuration, and maintenance of OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices preferred
  • * Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk) preferred

Job Description
  • * In-house SME to administer, monitor, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) systems.
  • * Configure, secure, and optimize Linux services (systemd, SSH, Apache/Nginx, cron, etc.).
  • * Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support enterprise applications.
  • * Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated system issues.
  • * Identify, research, and implement Linux and OpenShift solutions and applications.
  • * Provide support to IT staff for technical and configuration issues related to Linux systems.
  • * Manage Linux security administration in collaboration with the information security team.
  • * Stay current on all Linux and OpenShift changes, updates, and new releases and keep IT staff informed on forthcoming changes.
  • * Work with vendors and other departments as required to support applications and environments.
  • * Work closely with the IT team to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
  • * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging server tools and technologies.
  • * Create and maintain documentation for all Linux and OpenShift processes and procedures.
  • * Ensure compliance with security standards, patching schedules, and company policies.
  • * Participation in weekly on-call rotation to respond to after-hours issues.
  • * Coordinate with the rest of the IT team to meet the team objectives.
