Job description

Senior Linux Engineer- Bellevue, Washington
We are seeking an Embedded Linux Platform Engineer to support the migration and modernization of an existing product across Intel-based embedded systems. This role will focus on Linux platform porting, OS upgrades, and enabling cloud-based deployment and OTA update capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Port and migrate embedded Linux software to a new Intel-based hardware platform
  • Complete ongoing Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04 to 22.04, including:
    • Kernel, file system, and driver updates
    • Bootloader configuration and upgrades
  • Build and support production infrastructure, including:
    • Software packaging and release generation
    • Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities using AWS/Amazon tools (starting August)
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for platform deliverables

Top Skills
  • Strong experience with Embedded Linux development
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Linux kernel, device drivers, and bootloaders
    • System bring-up, porting, or platform migration
  • Experience with Ubuntu, Yocto, or similar Linux distributions
  • Familiarity with Intel/x86 embedded systems
