Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Staff Dev Ops Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
The selected individual will provide SW development for the Digital Ecosystem EMAS organization and do the following:
• Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products
• Develop software in an agile development environment
• Design automated test procedures for software verification activities
• Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools
• Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products

The standard work schedule is a 9/80 schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Typical Minimum Education or Experience
• T05: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD; or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval
• 4 years experience with build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (i.e. Nexus, JFROG) in a Linux environment.
• 4 years experience of Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating system.
• 4 years experience with scripting languages (i.e. PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
• 4 years experience with container orchestration and container technologies (i.e. Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift), Experience with Virtualization Technologies for CI/CD pipelines.
• 2 years experience with deploying and configuring Microsoft Internet Information System (IIS)
• IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field of study.
• Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or equivalent.
• Experience with source code configuration management tools (i.e git).
• Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
• Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM
• Certified Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner
• Proven ability to help solve problems or conflicts within teams
• Proven ability to hold team members accountable to complete work based on approved technical architecture, on schedule and within budget
• Detailed and team oriented with excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
