Job description

Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a Certified Diverse Corporation that specializes in innovative solutions for Digital Transformations across various domains. They are seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to develop and execute infrastructure projects that automate VM provisioning and software deployment tasks, utilizing tools such as GIT and Puppet.
Responsibilities:
• Develop/extend Puppet modules for automating environment deployments and configuration management
• Creation and editing of code written in at least one of Bash/Python/Ruby.
• VM Commissioning and Decommissioning - Responsible for aspects of standing up a virtual server in a new or existing environment, as well as removing systems from an environment at the end of service life.
• The engineer will make sure all code written is to have test cases and is well documented.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Knowledge of software development, release management and ci-cd is required.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Customer Service - working with internal customers to agree on Solutions.
• Commitment to meeting objectives.

• Analytical Thinking
• Operating system Patching, Performance tuning, Unix shell programming, troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of Linux Security, Desired Configuration Management.
• 3-5 years of experience with system administrative scripting languages, for example Bash or Python is a must.
• 3-5 years with Linux automation technologies such as Puppet, Chef, Satellite, Ansible is a must.
• Experience with REST APIs technologies
• Experience with VMware vRealize Suite is a plus.
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix systems in large enterprise systems requiring careful change control.
• Experience with software agile practices.
Preferred:
• Puppet is preferred.
• Experience with Google Cloud is an added advantage.
