The selected Engineering Systems Administrator II will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, optimization, and support of the organization's backend infrastructure platforms, including enterprise storage systems, virtualization environments, server operating systems, backup solutions, and supporting datacenter technologies. This role ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and security of critical infrastructure while supporting business operations and strategic technology initiatives.
You will serve as a technical contributor responsible for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, implementing system enhancements, maintaining disaster recovery capabilities, and supporting the lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure. The position collaborates closely with engineering, security, networking, and application teams to deliver reliable and secure technology solutions.
Infrastructure Administration
  • Administer and maintain enterprise server, virtualization, and storage environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and availability to ensure optimal operation.
  • Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual server resources.
  • Perform infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh activities.
  • Support datacenter infrastructure including compute, storage, and backup systems.

Virtualization Management
  • Administer enterprise virtualization platforms including VMware, Proxmox, or equivalent technologies.
  • Manage virtual machine provisioning, lifecycle management, resource allocation, clustering, and high availability configurations.
  • Monitor virtualization platform performance and implement optimization strategies.
  • Support virtualization upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance activities.

Storage Administration
  • Manage enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage platforms.
